1. Protect Your Confidential Information
- Never Share Sensitive Data: Your PIN, OTP (One-Time Password), Passwords, UPI MPIN, and CVV are strictly for your eyes only. No representative, employee, or official of The Nadiad Peoples Co-Op. Bank Ltd. will ever ask for your password, PIN, or OTP under any circumstance.
- Beware of Phishing Calls/SMS: Fraudsters often pose as bank officials or technical support, creating a false sense of urgency (e.g., claiming your account will be blocked or card deactivated) to trick you into sharing your credentials. Always verify by calling or visiting your home branch directly.
2. Safe Digital & Mobile Banking Practices
- Secure Your App Access: Download The Nadiad Peoples Co-Op. Bank Ltd. official mobile applications only from trusted stores (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
- Avoid Public Networks: Refrain from conducting financial transactions or logging into net banking using unsecured public Wi-Fi networks (at cafes, airports, hotels, etc.).
- Log Out Properly: Always log out explicitly from your internet or mobile banking session once your work is complete, rather than just closing the browser or app window.
3. ATM & Card Safety Tips
- Shield the Keypad: Always cover the keypad with your hand while entering your 4-digit PIN at an ATM or Point of Sale (PoS) terminal.
- Inspect the Machine: Before using an ATM, check the card slot and keypad to ensure no skimming devices or hidden cameras have been tampered with or attached.
- Instant Reporting: If your Debit Card is lost, stolen, or misplaced, immediately contact the bank to block it and prevent any unauthorized usage.
4. Safe UPI & Online Transactions
- Verify the Receiver: When transferring funds via UPI or IMPS, double-check the beneficiary's name and Virtual Payment Address (VPA) or account details before confirming.
- Remember the Rule for Receiving Money: To receive funds via UPI or apps, you never need to enter your PIN. Entering an MPIN always means you are sending money out of your account.
5. What to Do in Case of Fraud or Suspicious Activity
If you suspect any unauthorized transaction or have fallen victim to a cyber fraud involving your account:
Block Your Account/Card: Immediately inform the bank to restrict further activity.
